Joint operation leads to gangster arrest on gun charges

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Kenneth Washington, 22, from Southaven, also known as KJ da Shooter and known member of the Gangster Disciples, was apprehended through a joint operation involving investigators from the District Attorney’s Office, Southaven Police Department, and the ATF.

“I commend the dedicated investigators from my team, Southaven Police, and ATF agents, for their relentless efforts in apprehending Kenneth Washington and revoking his probation. This dangerous criminal, who has repeatedly flouted the law, is now back where he belongs—behind bars, without bond,” stated District Attorney Matthew Barton. “Their dedication and collaboration are crucial in keeping our streets and businesses safe from lawless thugs like these.”

Following his arrest on new charges of felon in possession of a weapon, including a Glock switch, our office also promptly issued a hold and filed a petition to revoke his probation relating to a 2019 conviction for shooting into a dwelling in Mississippi.
