The DeSoto County District Attorney’s Office is giving DeSotocountians an inside look into the agency and what they and their partners in law enforcement are doing to keep families safe via a new podcast, titled ‘DeSoto Crime Cast’.
The first episode titled ‘Welcome to ‘DeSoto Crime Cast’ starts today, and features District Attorney Matthew Barton who discusses what prepared him for his role as District Attorney, his vision, and the recent Dodson trial. The podcast will give listeners an inside look at the operations of the office and what goes in to prosecuting violent criminals.
“During my campaign, I realized a lot of people don’t know what the District Attorney does and the critical part they play in law enforcement,” Barton said. “With ‘DeSoto Crime Cast’, we can speak directly to our residents about the intricacies that go into prosecuting criminals and the part our office plays in public safety. “
Topics will focus on public safety and the work being done by law enforcement to keep our county and cities safe to live, work and raise a family. It will also help raise awareness surrounding public safety, feature crime fighting guest speakers, and promote other agencies and nonprofits who support victims of crime.
